Title: The song BAD in the Megamind movie...and a dead hoax hero!
Post by: michangelo on November 07, 2010, 12:57:33 PM
:D Warning! Movie Spoiler !

Not much to say but at the end of the film during the credits, the song (BAD) is sung by everyone and it dances!
And Michael is singing! How much is the copyright of an original song in a movie?
...Oh! and this guy super hero with the big M on his costume, he pretended to be dead (HOAX)!

Animated Ambiguity, Featuring a Big Head

Michael Jackson’s “Bad,” blasted near the end of “Megamind,” the witty 3-D animated deconstruction of superhero movies from DreamWorks Animation, encapsulates the paradoxes of a story in which evil morphs into good and vice versa. There was always something innately silly in Jackson’s wispy-voiced, childlike affectation of macho ferocity. My first reaction to a singer whose clout suggested a crooked finger more than a clenched fist was, “Oh, come off it, little boy.”

Ok I am still laughing I cant hold this back I must share with you all what I just saw. I just took my little sister to see Megamind which was released on November 5th. Ok so the movie is about a super hero (Metro Man ) and Megamind the bad uy. Metro man is tired of being a hero and want to follow his dream for music, so he is going to save the news reporter and got tricked and went into a building which Megamind has a laser from space to blow the building up he's in.

The building blows and a skeleton with Metro mans outfit on it fly out of the building to Megamind. He's dead. Toward the end of the movie the news reporter goes to Metro mans old layer with Megamind to see if they can collect any info on him, and out from the door behind them he appears Metro man is ALIVE!!! He faked his death, the news reporter was so upset and asked why and he told them that he wanted what everyone else had....a choice...and that he wanted to follow his joy for music.

So if that was not telling enough...at the last part of the movie the song comes on Bad!!!!! The characters are all on stage dancing to MJs song Bad, and in the crowd is Metro Man in a jacket with a hat on just watching from the crowd!!!! This movie you have to see. :D

Go and check out the movie, you will see a ton more things that stick out, one more to bring up is when the reporter is in her home with clips of paper all over the place hung up of news about Megamind, and the begining of 5 of the clips (first letter in each of the stories) spell Titan which was a hidden code she figured out.....kinda how we do on here with TMZ articles and other things hoax related lol. Its great.  :D

obviously not everything is part of the hoax. it could just be a coincidence at times. i was actually gonna post it too. i saw it last night in 3D btw and it was really good. when i first heard of MetroMan saying that he hoaxed his death, i was like "wth? is this movie meant for me as a believer or something?"   i kinda brushed it off and then the mj song bad came along. i was
although i believe this is all a coincidence and nothing more, you should see the movie before rolling your eyes.

I agree with you, I saw some thread where people tried to connect iCarly with the hoax
This movie on the other hand has too many coincidences to ignore. At the very least someone influential at Dreamworks is possibly a beLIEver (either in Elvis/MJ or both).

totally agree, it's his way to say things to us, and simply say what he thinks of the world.
i think you know that thru movies you can put some idea into the minds of people, like it happened with "bad, greedy, hungry aliens that want to enslave humans"....

I totally agree with you guys! But sometimes I become skeptical about the whole thing, I mean, Is it possible that everything is related to the hoax? If it is so then there are TOO MANY people who know about it. :?  I'm sorry for being pessimistic, I think that I felt bad the other day when I saw Mike's children been interviewed by Oprah! What part broke your heart? I'm just curious, because I'm usually really emotional when it comes to stuff like that and I didn't feel that while watching the kids on Oprah. There's an "unreal" type of feeling that I get when watching anything MJ related these days. When the kids started talking about french toast and snickers... and Paris confirmed to us that she wants to be an actress... I just thought, "okay, this all fits if this really is a hoax". I'm curious to see how you may have interpretted it differently.

it doesn't mean that many people need to know about the hoax if MJ is responsible for all those movies! thru a 3rd person he gives the screenplay to the director, that's all. (tho sometimes I get the feeling that the whole NY and Hollywood celebrities and journalists do know abt the hoax)

The abundance of BLUE color caught my eye.
Acording to the movie, megamind is an alien.
So, here is what I found, and many ppl have heard of it already.

Quote
Several stories mention humanoid alien races with a blue skin. These usually refer to Andromedans. The Andromedans were the "blue race" that landed in Florida in 1954, trying to pursuade the US Government not to work with the greys, but instead to join forces with "The Orbin". Their advice was sadly ignored.
The Hopi Indians also talk about a race of blue skinned Star Warriors. There are several indications that lead us to believe these Star Warriors are the same Andromedans.

The Sirius system is known, too, to be inhabited by a race that has a pale skin that approaches blue.

Some dark-skinned Vegan races have a hint of a blue hue in their skin.

Alex Collier mentions some Lyrans with blue skin, as well. (Nobody else does. Vegans maybe?)

There also are several stories that involve a race of reptilian blue greys. These would be one of the races that have a permanent presence on Earth, in US military bases.

My son and I went to see the movie, before I even read this post, and I remember thinking WTF !! :o  :o  :o   Of all things, it was the part when the superhero hoaxed his death, and comes back.....and then they all dance to michael jacksons BAD ..

Now, I wonder if we would have noticed these details before the 25th June 2009.

That is the only thing that crossed my mind.  Maybe I'm looking at everything now with my "hoax glasses" on.  But I must say, that did blow my mind a bit... ;)  ;)

Wow I just came back from the movie! I kept on interpreting the MJ hoax into the movie for my daughter. And I think even she could see there were no coincidences. Clearly this was about Michael (and Elvis) and could the girl be Lisa Marie?

Things I noticed. An Elvis song played while they intoduced Megaman. The mention of BACK, and Megamind being blue, relating to Blue Gangster. Talk of destiny and purpose. Michael/Megamind have created their own monsters which they have to overcome. (My opinion, Pepsi head-fire, and sexual allegations and trial, death hoax, financial bankrupcy, etc). All for LOVE, love of not just a girl, but for US, the world, gives him his true joy and satisfaction, after finding that being "evil" didn't bring true satisfaction. Michael once said that in BAD, he was bad but in a good way. How I love that man. I felt that this movie totally followed the MJ hoax. Elvis I mean Megaman faked his death sending a fake skeleton to represent him to fool the world, even as real Elvis put a wax dummy in the coffin, and wanted to follow his true passions which were quietly making music for himself, although Megamind says Megaman can't sing (Ooh competition!!!). I wonder if real Elvis is perhaps truly happy now that he is just enjoying peaceful solitude. I loved it when Titan (Megamind's creation asked him what he was doing wrong (or something like that) and Megamind said, "Presentation!" and Megamind proceeded to do a crazy creative stuff in the sky and at one point there was a blimp just like MJair blimp in TII. (I think MJ is planning a spectacular presentation in the sky when he returns involving perhaps a satelite or other super-technology IMO). I felt the movie truly gave a glimpse into the wonderful mind, will and brain of Michael. Only visible to the initiated---MJ hoaxsters!!! 8-)  I felt like dancing and singing like crazy when BAD was playing at the end, but I held myself in check!!!

This movie has made me theorize that TS is introducing Elvis into the hoax equation purely for rivalry completition sake just like in the movie. Megamind says everyone enjoys a good battle and that life wouldn't be interesting without it. Hmm... :D  There's probably more important clues that I haven't even noticed for others to find. Strip it down!! :)

I've only seen the movie once - but the song "Bad" as presented in the movie almost sounded like a remix at first (to me) but in the imdb credits it says it is written AND performed by Michael Jackson - the Elvis song is a remix from 2002 (In 2002, the TV special version of "A Little Less Conversation" was remixed by Junkie XL for the NIKE Football World Cup advertising campaign.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Little_Less_Conversation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Little_Less_Conversation))

“Master Mind” Becomes “Oobermind”
By Skott Stotland on 05.28.2009

DreamWorks has decided to change the name of their upcoming supervillain animated feature from “Master Mind” to “Oobermind.” If you’re not familiar with the movie by either title, that’s alright, it’s been pretty low profile so far. But expect to hear more about it once people find out about the film’s concept, which is actually pretty cool.

From the press release:

Oobermind (formerly titled "Master Mind") will be released on November 5, 2010. It is being directed by Tom McGrath (Madagascar, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa), executive produced by Ben Stiller and Stuart Cornfeld, produced by Lara Breay and Denise Nolan Cascino and will star Robert Downey Jr. and Tina Fey. When super villain Oobermind defeats his archrival Metro Man, the world should be his oyster. But instead, Oobermind falls into total despair. It turns out that life without a rival is life without a point for him. So he creates a new superhero rival. Unfortunately, the new hero wants to be a super villain too. Who can we turn to? Who has what it takes to stand up to this menace? Who will defend the innocent? Oobermind! That’s who.

"A big blue head and an even bigger ego seem to suit Will Ferrell, who gives voice to the villainous star of the amusing new 3-D animated comedy "Megamind." DreamWorks' latest pop-culture manifesto is out to skewer celebrity, the cult of superhero fandom, media feeding frenzies and to suggest that perhaps what you really need to save the day is not a cape, but the love of a good woman.

Yes, complex themes.

I want to add that the Megaman in the crowd wearing the hat, makes me more sure than I was already before, that it is Elvis at the Memorial as hatman, sitting fairly close to Blond lady (MJ).
