Michael Jackson's mother to discuss his death with Oprah Winfrey next week

CHICAGO (AP) — Katherine Jackson will discuss the death of her son, pop superstar Michael Jackson, in an interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Harpo Productions said Monday that Winfrey's interview with Jackson's mother will air Nov. 8 on "The Oprah Winfrey Show." Jackson's father, Joe Jackson, and his three children will also appear during a backyard visit taped for the episode.
Winfrey and Katherine Jackson filmed the interview at the family's home in Encino, Calif. The Chicago-based production company says Katherine Jackson talks about the day her son died and reflects on his life as a childhood star.
Michael Jackson died unexpectedly in June 2009. He gave an interview to Winfrey in 1993 in which he first disclosed suffering from the skin condition vitiligo.

I am sure they were coached very well. I do not forsee any slip ups. Maybe Joe Jackson can say again something stupid. :lol: just like LKL, he did not know where the body of his son was, nor about the autopsy, he was in the obscure. I think the children are very smart, don't forget who is their father! I can't wait for November 8 to watch Oprah and see the outcome of the show. Bless you all..

Paris is not wearing her glasses anymore.....and I'm hoping the subject of vitiligo comes up again.....not that it is any of Oprah's businesss, but I have a feeling that history will repeat itself, and the rumours will finally be put to rest about the childrens paternity. ;) ;)
We must remember that Oprah's audience is so worldwide...
It will reach many peoples homes. A step closer to dismissing all those ridiculous rumours, so that MJ can be ressurected.....
I hope Michael and the Jacksons are using Oprah to get a message across, remembering that her audience is global, and then they can stick it right back up her a@@@ss.

God I love those kids...I hope and pray that Michael is behind this...if not...I hope that these children don't get dragged through the same dirt Michael had to put up with all his life!!

I love Michael's children too... They seem smart and mature and well-adjusted. Am curious to see what the interview(s) will be like.
Oprah's influence is not really global. She's influential in the States, but in Europe people don't seem to care about her and/or watch her show much - or at least that's my impression.

I was also thinking about that... So I came to the conclusion that this interview could be used to set the record straight about the pedophilia thing and many other subjects about Michael. Everyone knows what's Oprah's position on many of these matters (like pedophilia for example), so maybe after she talks to the kids the world will realize how amazing and pure Michael really is. Remember they are poor, fatherless, grieving little ones and Oprah HAS to agree with (and support) everything the children say about him. Nobody will question their lovely statements about their daddy. Plus, think about how emotional it will be to hear from Michael in Prince, Paris and Blanket's own words ;) This sort of thing reaaaally influence people. Everything is planned!

If you're talking about the Nov. 5 episode, it is an extended piece of the Tyler Perry interview. She only put in on Nov. 5 because that is the day his new movie begins playing in theaters. They had to squeeze it in, as a surprise for TP. Whereas the Jacksons were always scheduled to air on the 8th.

I'm really worried about this interview.
If Mike is alive, my hope is that Katherine & the kids are doing this because they want to say to the world what a wunderful person Michael is.
But if not... I have no idea why his mother speaks with a person who believe in this garbage :evil:!
And I'm in panic - if the children mourned about the death - that would mean to me "no BAM".

IMO I think is that Michael knows that Oprah was "one of them" those people who always thought less of him, so if Oprah can change her prospective,being one of them,then those "other" people who also think less of Michael will also be able to.

Randy Jackson is very upset about this interview. In his twitter he says that Oprah was the last person on earth Michael would have wanted around his kids. Randy says, that during the Santa Maria process Oprah had a show about pedophilia and that it was no coincidence. In my country Oprah is completely unknown. I think we all will be upset afterwards, if she let Michael look like a drug abuser or worse. Come on, she would never change her mind.. :(

Just listen on YOUTUBE the "new song" Opus None from Michael Jackson. If you listen to that you can only imagine how evil these people are and what else they will come forward with. I never heard such a bull shit, it's a remix of destiny.

I've already seen the snippet where Mrs. Jackson tells Oprah that MJ denied drug use and Oprah gives a smirk like "too bad, MJ. we know he was on drugs" sort of smirk. This too will pass and I hope quickly.

What makes the Oprah interview particularly curious is that they could have done this on LKL instead with a proven, positive result. I don't get why Oprah and not LKL.

I just read that it's a pre-taped interview with Katherine and the kids. Wonder if they will reveal or slip up on anything? They gave a brief synopsis and quotes from Prince and Paris. Prince said he wants to be a film director/producer and Paris wants to be an actress.

How can she say she was expecting it, that it wasn't a shock? That sounds morbid. She could have said at least "I was horrified this would happen at any moment" not that "Of course,I was expecting it".

I just watched the interview. The part with Michael's mother was very hard to watch. If she's playing a part I don't know how she does it.
The kids are an amazing testament to what a terrific father Michael is and I was happy to see and hear them until they were asked just at the end "what do you miss the most" and Paris said "everything". I lost it then.

They were pretty calm about the whole situation. They seem like your regular everyday kids.

I just finished watching the interview. Paris is very articulate. She reminds me alot of her mother. At times she seemed to be a bit quick with her answers...I wonder if she really didn't appreciate Oprah being there. Prince is pretty well spoken also..I noticed once when he kinda like raised his arms..I could see the spots on his arms...Blanket was quiet most of the time. I think children are so resilient. I can barely think of MJ without crying. One thing stuck in my head about Katherine is when she kept saying that they were taking soo long at the hospital to come out and tell her what was going on with Michael. Hmmm......

The interview went about how I expected. Although initially I was going to boycott it because I know it was a "ratings" ploy by Oprah. But I'm glad I watched after all.
The funniest part for me was when Blanket wiped his nose and then shook hands with Oprah. And Prince was looking off Oprah and all around like he had something better to do. Each in their own subtle way they let Oprah know how they felt about her. :lol: Which would suggest they knew full well what Oprah has said about their father. But they were still respectful as Michael had raised them. :)
Loved the mention of Coca-Cola by Prince...and the Snickers/Skittles by both him and Paris...I'm beginning to wonder if Mars Candy is a hoax sponsor too! 8-)
The kids all did a wonderful job...you can see so much of Michael's personality in each of them. I hope no one or nothing ever taints that in them!

I noticed that too...but I was paying more attention to what she was saying then how she was saying it. Up on the rooftop of the house watching the lights?(kinda like Peter Pan and Wendy?-got me to thinking about Neverland) 8-) and Prince with the beach/Coca Cola (made me think of that picture of Conrad Murray and the Coca Cola umbrella and their trip to Hawaii - exposing his Vitiligo under his arms). Oh yeah!....these kids are brilliant...they dropped so many clues on us you'd need a wheel barrel to catch them all ;)
...and Paris wanting to be an actress...she's already an Oscar contender in my book 8-)

Yes, this part with the toothpick made me very angry. :( This is sooooo disrespectful. I would NEVER talk that way about my own child.
And I don't understand it any more. Why didn't the family say, "Okay, we'll give an interview, but we won't talk about plastic surgery or drugs or all the other stuff that's been in the tabloids over decades. Let's talk about Michaels humanitarian efforts, about his wish to change the world, let's talk about his book Dancing the dream, about his spirituality", and so on. Why didn't they say that? :(

Unbelievable!!!!!!! I didn't watch the interview, I thought was to painful for me to see his parents and especially his children. But I can't believe his Mother Katherine said this kind of stuff about his son!!!! Why? This kind of statements hurt Michael so much in the past...leaving aside Oprah, because we all know that she is still with her mind in the time of the trial, but it's sad that Katherine said this about Michael, even she's his mother. This kind of personal stuff you'll never discuss on public, especially on TV with a person that hurt Michael in the past! :| :| :|

ok i say this interview with the crocodile hunters daughter. i thought it was something to compare with paris and prince interviews. i know that michael was shy but not when he was talking about his work. i is just interesting to me how bendi(?) just gushes with enthusiasm and knowlegde about what she is doing. she is not guarded and doesn't seem like anyone has given her specific things to say. i hope someone, anyone can understand what i am trying to show here.
