"thriller" & halloween = made for each other
with halloween being tomorrow, who cannot think of the video "thriller"? i think out of all of michael's work, that is still my all time fave. call me partial. until i ran across an article talking about the behind the scenes making of it, i had forgotten this. rick baker did the makeup for thriller. a guy i knew growing up, from houston, steven johnson, he worked for rick baker on that video. steve's grandmother, dorothy, was a best friend to my mom. here are some links for you:

i had even shared steve's apt in california with another artist friend of his (sorry, i cannot recall her name); she was subletting his place while he was in the uk working on his first major film "an american werewolf in london" back in 1981.

Rick Baker was the make-up artist for Thriller, Captain EO and Ghosts.

So the guy is pretty good to say the least. What I think is interesting is that he had a project every year since 1994, but nothing in 2009.

So this Ricky guy has done huge make-up jobs on Michael...and has worked consistently from 1994 to now with the exception of 2009. I wonder if he needed that time off to create a multitude of disguises for Mike? Hatman, Dave Dave as examples.
And very interesting that Eliza wrote what she did. I wonder if her half-brother has ever used Mr. Baker's services?
