Well I was online part of that day and I am for the truth. I admit I've twitted only about twice then had to sign out. In my timeline I can remember, Mo, Souza, Lilwendy and Emtyga were very busy with it.

after years of being against twitter -i don't particularly like it-i joined. for you and michael. so i hope you guys are happy.
i have absolutely no idea how to work this majestic networking site. i just typed in the little box "#elvisandmjdotcom" and pressed "tweet." i hope that helps. but i dont have any followers and i dont know how to follow people :(

Trending Topics only happen when there's a large volume of people (thousands) tweeting at the same time. A hundred (100) people isn't going to cut it, not even close. Realistically-speaking, you can't organize these twitterthons within 5 days. The Justice4MJ facebook groups, which have thousands of members, plan these things a month in advance and they're not always successful (from what I've seen, their failure is due to their timing; they change it around). I guess what I'm trying to say is, this needs to be better organized and we need to recruit a lot more people.

Update #1: #ripmj jumped to over 4000 people tweeting and is still only trending in the US as opposed to Worldwide. =
Update #2: #ripmj is a worldwide trend (6th place TT; 3rd place hashtag) right now at around 6,000 contributors. That means we need somewhere between 4,000-6,000 people to get a TT.
Update#3: Nvm, looking at the hashtag currently in first place, it has 2,800 contributors but they're tweeting at a higher frequency. So like I first mentioned, we need thousands of people tweeting at the same time and apparently our tweets shouldn't have more than a couple of seconds separating them (not on an individual basis, but the group as a whole).
Yet, the 2nd place TT hashtag has around 5700 contributors (having lots of people doesn't hurt either).
Question: Does this forum have a facebook group? I think it's essential for efficiently executing events like these. On FB event pages, members can signify whether: (1) they will participate (2) they might participate or (3) they're not participating at all. That number updates immediately and you can change your status at any moment (just in case you thought you could participate, but turns out you cannot - or visa versa). That way, we can gauge whether or not we have enough people.
So, to recap:
The likelihood of us getting a WORLD WIDE trending topic (TT):
- at 6,000 people = GUARANTEED if everyone just tweets once at (or around) the same minute.
- at 2,800-ish we need to tweet our beaks off.

The dates when there is no soccer match are June 30, July 1, 4, 5, 8 & 9, On those dates we won't have soccer TT's in the way. July 4 on the other hand is independence day, so big chance we will have Independence day TT's in the way. That is why I don't think July 4 will be a good day. On July 1 at 12 pm we cut the year in half. I suggest we set the date to July 1 at 12 pm PT.
In case we don't succeed, we can try again on the 4th or the 5th.

Next, type in what you want to say under the "What's Happening?" text area and click "tweet". Easy peasy. :)

Like the other times, one main factor (though not the only factor) is how prepared we are for the stampede after bamsday. ok, I hope nobody jumps on me for telling my idea about this issue. It's my humble opinion though. I don't believe that non-believers would be interested to read anything about Elvis and MJ's death hoaxes. Which update did they read that they will read this one? People already think that we're crazy when we tell them MJ is alive and we're adding Elvis on it... woahh!!! They will think that we're double crazy and ignore it. That's just my prediction though and I do hope that I'm wrong. But if we could make the Update 4 a TT on Twitter, that would be amazing because that was the one which made me believe in this hoax 100%! That hits you so hard and remains no questions in your mind about if this is a hoax or not. So I wish TS gave Update 4 a name and we could make it a TT on Twitter. I personally am not going to support this because I do not believe in an Elvis comeback (I'm not talking about a come back in flesh and bone. I know what TS meant with his come back) I do not believe Eliza's trial will end up with a result that shows Elvis is still alive and it's not going to be all over the news etc. But that's my opinion. So I will not support ElvisMJcom thing but I would LOVE to make Update 4 a TT on twitter and that would take more attention of non-believers if we compare it with this one. i think this is different because we're not telling them to read it per say, we are implanting the thought in their heads. human curiosity will take over. who doesn't love a good hoax theory? whether they laugh at it or actually look into it, the thought is there.

I'm so sorry for saying this but we've been screaming that Michael is alive all over the net and how far did we go? All these people were already implanted with hoax theories. Would it matter if you try to implant more and more. I don't think so. But still that's my opinion. Maybe it works.

If we could trend #ElvisandMJdotcom however, i am sure it's not just MJ fans who're interested to check it out, but Elvis fans, and not just them, but people who wonder why the two are put together. as for your concern about Update #4 being more convincing in MJ being alive, there is a summarized section in Update #6 about the dates (e.g. death 77 days from 999, burial 7 days from 999 etc), which to me triggers immediate suspicion. i agree with mjfansince4 that curiousity will take over and if they are fans, surely they will explore and do more research on their own.

I joined Twitter just so that I could 'tweet' on 25th June. Just Google 'Twitter' and go to the home page. Then click on the 'create an account' box.
You need to enter your name, password and email address, then choose a username. You're then ready to tweet away. ABC. :P

Ahhhhhhhh screw all haters and everything else. If I'm going to believe something or someone, I'm going to believe 100%. If I believed in everything TS wrote before, I should believe Elvis issue too. Don't ask me what changed my mind. It's just a sign that I got, or Michael's presence I feel. :D It was weird and it totally changed my mind. So count me in guys! I'd find it useful if you could post the UTC time (which is used on this site) for this twitter thing, then I'd know just to add an hour to get to summer time here in the UK.

Although from a numerology point of view this is a good time and date, but it is a weekday and what about all the members who are working.
Wouldn't it be better to choose a weekend, let's say a Sunday 10am PDT which would be 6pm BST, then as many as possible could join in. :D
