It was a mess they were promoting they were going to do a tribute to MJ but all they did use had New Edition did a J5 dance and Jamie Fox dress up like MJ in beat it and a mess of the moonwalk it was just awful the only thing that was good was  part Ne yo did (Lady in my life) it bought tear to my eyes I know they didn't have time to do a great tribute but what they did was disgraceful IMO

At least he has established himself & had the respect of the man himself. That's a lot more than any of the rest could say. Usher has been around since the early 90s. I do agree it's time he stops trying to fill MJ's shoes but he has a lot more reason to imitate MJ than anyone else.

I didn't cry at all by Chris Brown's performance. They showed people's faces in the audience and one woman was saying OMG because he couldn't finish Man in the Mirror. It didn't bother me one bit. Let's not forget the majority of the world believes MJ is really dead. Everyone doesn't know what really went down on Jun 25th last year. Keep the Faith!

I know, I changed my liking of CB since he beat the heck out of Rhianna.  Do you think he was crying both for Mike and himself.  He was singing Man in the Mirror... about changing his ways.  I think this song really got to him personally.  Maybe MJ is giving chance to change and let him dance for him.  Just a thought.

I personally think it's for him. I'm sure he was an MJ fan..but him crying.. I mean that's just trying to get into the good books with everyone. His career has largely been affected by his actions, and what a perfect way to sucker everyone into thinking he's a good guy. I don't know. I'm probably being harsh. But I purely think the tears are a strategy

I guess there is something I disagree on with Michael. Chris Brown is very much not the future. If I had to choose an MJ wannabe it would be Usher. He is far more talented than Chris Brown. I personally am not a fan of either, but Usher definitely stands out more.

How about that El DeBarge? He still got it! He reminds me of Michael for some reason, his voice, the way he can go high and low. And his brother was married to Janet.

El DeBarge.  Awesome performance.   He looks very healthy and sexy.  The Debarge family and Jacksons were two amazing families in their heyday.

I don't like Jermaine for playing with us like that.  That was f***** up.
I hope Michael's sweet spirit and sense of manhood and respect has a positive affect on Chris Brown.

Why are you so sure that he was playing?

Okay.  You have a point.  Well, I wish I could be sure that Jermaine wasn't playing.

But, what about the vocals during the MJ tribute?  It was MJ's recorded voice for most of it, right?  Especially Remember The Time.  But, was that from a previous recording or LIVE? :D

I think it was the second from the left as well.  If you look closely there were originally 5 dancers then they became 6... and then the 6th dancer (2nd from the left) disappeared again.  It doesn't even make sense for them to do that.  I think we were hit by a Smooth Criminal.

LOL I haven't seen any of it yet, but that's terrible. What a shame. Prince is a great artist & musician in his own right. At least MJ got the tribute he deserved, I haven't seen it yet but from what I've read on here & from other people I know, it was amazing. Although Chris has made a huge mistake, he shouldn't be shunned by the rest of the world, he has had to pay for it & he deserves to prove he's changed & he deserves a second chance. He is talented & MJ was a fan I heard (before the Rihanna incident). Perhaps it's MJ giving him that chance  ;)

Me too I'm really glad Chris got his chance to pay tribute to Michael. I mean I know he did in 2006 at the WMAs but I mean since Michaels "death" I'm glad he got to, I heard he was really upset when he couldn't last year.
I agree that we should forgive Chris, I think the message of the song Man in the Mirror has gotten through to him.

I agree & lets not forget that Chris Brown has been paying tribute to Michael for a long time, As way back as 2006 VMA awards, the guy has been distroyed by the incident with Rihanna, "They" refused his visa to do his U.K tour only a few weeks ago. :?

So yes Chris Brown loved Michael... I mean LOOK at him! He moves so much like Michael... they had me goin for a minute, especially Jermaine saying "Here HE IS"!

I guess there is something I disagree on with Michael. Chris Brown is very much not the future. If I had to choose an MJ wannabe it would be Usher. He is far more talented than Chris Brown. I personally am not a fan of either, but Usher definitely stands out more.

Chris did his thing kinda in my opinion but..

He danced about 52% like MJ. But was VERY stiff in his movements. His moonwalk was not fluent nor was his circle glide or his side gliding. You could see the movements he was doing with his feet, those three dances are supposed to give the illusion of sliding, his was obviously stepping.

He did a good job attempting to EMULATE Michael, and it was nice of him to give his little tribute but lets not get beside ourselves he was still mediocre when it comes to the actual moves themselves. He wasn't even as fast as Mike.  :x

EDIT: AND THIS IS WHY WE NEED MICHAEL BACK ASAP. ;)

thank you for posting.

i'll admit, i haven't been team chris since the rihanna incident either. a man should never, ever, ever hit a woman. at the same time, a woman should not hit a man. violence does nothing except create more problems. however, credit needs to be given where credit is due. i don't know what his intentions were, but he did a very beautiful tribute to michael. his dancing was very good- not like michael's but let's be honest, nobody can fill his sparkly socks.

i think the end where he couldn't sing because he was crying was more powerful because the audience stepped up and filled in. i got major goosebumps to hear the crowd singing "if you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself then make that change." i mean, that's what it's about isn't it? making a change for a better world. to hear groups sing it, man, THAT'S power.

as for the smooth criminal...how PERFECT. i mean, i can't say that i saw michael like you guys did, but what a perfect opportunity. first off, it went completely black, giving him enough time to jump in with the other dancers. and then we have the light up suits (VERY COOL)--hello lightman! the lights on the suits also lit up piece by piece in one part.

signs are everywhere. good eyes people!!!

I agree 100% !!! To hear an entire audience sing a song like this, or heal the world, or we are the world...there's no other feeling like it. Especially if you're part of that group, there's no better feeling in the world, and i LOVE it how MICHAEL is the cause of that feeling. We are all singing MICHAELS words. I thought it was so great that everyone in the audience took over when Chris was crying! They were helping him through it. I don't think that he was crying because of his career. I think he was crying because he was paying tribute to a man he has loved all his life. Who are we to forgive him? That is between he, Rhianna and God. We have no place to judge that man for what happened. He is passed that now. All he has to do is to stay true to what he said.. It will never happen again! I am not defending what he did because I am COMPLETELY against domestic abuse. ANY kind of abuse.. But he has gone through his own hell. He will never fully live this down. But he will get through it and he can get his career going again.

You guys, I had a mini-heart attack at the very beginning! I was also watching "Michael Jackson: Remember His Time" on Fuse during the commercials, and when I switched back over to the BET awards to see if it came back on, all I saw was Jermaine saying "And here he is...!" and then I see this shadow behind a curtain with a fedora and I hear the music of TWYMMF, and I was like "OMG ITS MICHAEL! ITS MICHAEL!" Then I see Chris Brown. Biggest disappointment of my life!

But no, Chris Brown was fantastic, and I started crying about the time of Billie Jean, because I really miss MJ
And when Chris Brown starting crying, that was it for me. Tears were flowing down my face.

EDIT: After reading what you guys are saying, (since I missed it) did Jermaine even say it was Chris Brown? If he didn't, that's really twisted thing of him to do, because since I'm almost 100% sure MJ's alive, Jermaine knows what everyone that believes MJ's alive would be thinking when they see that familiar shadow.

As far as MJ being in the performance, or in the area.. I think that it is way too dangerous for him. He would be recognized so quickly, and even if he was in disguise, I don't think he'd take the chance of being "found" that way. He'd want it on his own terms.

Sorry, I don't speak English but I need to comment, so I used Google Translate, but is extremely bad...

Usher can not be the future, not for my part, Usher fell into the Illuminati network, like all ... I'm so sick of lady gaga, rihanna so ... manipulate the youth with his eccentricities to approach Satanism
I had never followed Chris but Today I saw a sincere and sensible guy, at first I Began to mourn Thought it might be fake (and that 99% of the artists I admired are Illuminati, claiming things that are not really feeling) But I Was surprised, I Cried Actually, I was extremely excited ... Man in the mirror Always makes me mourn and ended up crying with him, sending my love ... I can not do anything with Usher That only Focus on making pyramids With their hands.
And I do Not Know Chris Brown, What I did was very wrong, But Also the media (Illuminati,) invented or exaggerated many Things to destroy a person ... no more Than to see Mike.

when I was watching the start of the tribute by the second move I knew it was Chris Brown cause so far I've seen he does MJ the best... Ans just like watching Latoya and Bubbles, I was already crying when CB started!! LOL and all ya'll non-forgivers need to stop - he paid his debt to society already...

so regardless if he was crying over his career or not (cause I'm sure he cried over his career many times over) or whether he was crying over the words to the song and how they applied to his life, or it could have been emotion over Michael being gone, just as I was feeling, or finally having the chance to do a tribute to MJ since his passing, or a combination of feelings... whatever it was, he did a good job.  8-)

I guess I feel it's fair to say he brutally beat Rihanna when the picture of her is released and he publicly admits it.

Edit: But ya we need to focus on the 'hints' Jermaine gave

Why are people dissing Chris yes what happened between him and Rihanna happened but he is crying because the song basically talks about making a change for the better, Michael in a way asked Chris make that change that is why he started to cry, best tribute I've seen in a while to Mike and he would be proud so haters can keep hating, Chris did a great job

Because this segment of the performance was a series of flashing lights, it was very difficult to capture.  Here's what I've got:

The first  screen shot is 5 men + Chris...
Chrisbet1.JPG[/attachment:27imoyzb]

Then Chris leaves and it is just 5 men.
chrisbet2.JPG[/attachment:27imoyzb]

Then a 6th man appears, 2nd to the left (this man is not Chris, because Chris is having a costume change)
chrisbet3.JPG[/attachment:27imoyzb]

chrisbet4.JPG[/attachment:27imoyzb]

chrisbet5.JPG[/attachment:27imoyzb]

Your best bet would be to watch the video again, because the pictures don't tell the complete story.

I LOVED it! Despite what Chris did which I do NOT condone AT ALL, it's undeniable how talented he is. In my opinion, Usher is great, Neyo is good but Chris is the BEST at the MJ stuff. He has it on point. That was the BEST tribute to him so far. Finally the tribute he deserves. & when Chris cried, I feel it was the overwhelming emotion of tributing his idol & realizing he is gone forever (what Chris would think, not me). It got to him. I've heard him speak about MJ before, he has a huge love & respect for him. It was so sweet to see how much he loved MJ. I absolutely loved it. Usher looks at MJ as an idol & he's good but I don't like that now MJ is "gone" so he's focused on trying to fill his shoes & become the new King of Pop. That's annoying, so I prefer Chris to him as a performer. As a person, I really don't like how he beat the s*** out of Rihanna but he payed for it, he lost his career & couldn't get past it but she went on to be huge so I won't judge him, I just hope he changes his ways. As for Jermaine, that was really crappy how he led people to believe he was talking about MJ. However, he might not know Chris Brown so he just forgot his name or something. He looked confused when he said it. jmo. But it could have been a clue I suppose? who knows anymore, lol.

Oh, yes, that last screencap... look at the second lightman from left...forward pose, all the others side pose... perfect form.  And as I watched this dance... this person was spot on perfect and quicker than the rest of dancers, like they were following him or something.  And correct 5 became 6 in the light.   ;)  I spotted this one as I was watching on TV.  And easy for the dancer to get off stage cause everyone was busy with production and stuff.  Even with the fedora pulled down very low... he could have done it with a little face disguised underneath.  And then Jermaine would have good reason to say "Here HE is"

as much as I'd like to think it was Mike, those other dancers had to rehearse with the stand-in. And this 2nd from the left does not have the very specific hip dip or knee/foot positioning like Mike religiously dances in these particular counts. It's all in the hips/knees/foot placement. I don't think it's Michael Jackson there...

While this dancer probably would be EXTREMELY flattered that we're comparing his moves to MJ's haha I think you have to consider the fact that the other 5 of these dancers would have to know that it was Mike and I doubt those dancers are in on the hoax, along with the people in charge of getting him on/off stage, and to/from the arena. Also think about all the people he would have to sneak passed unnoticed.

Here's what I think:

Either Chris went backstage & joined the other 5 dancers or it was SUPPOSED to be Chris but MJ slipped in unknowingly although it would be hard with as many production people would be backstage & other celebrities. So idk. It was weird that Jermaine said that, either he was doing it on purpose or he just forgot Chris Brown's name, so he said here he is.

Yes, LAJackson, I do think it was a testing of the waters.  When Jermaine said here he is, and I saw the curtain and the black silhoutte that I know so well.  I started chanting This Is It, This Is It.  I think that this was an experiment in certain of a way, if you know what I mean.  I think that this is how it is going to be when the Cirque du Solei shows will be. I think I am saying is this how MJ returns to us. :?:   The performance tonight was out-of-this world for me.  I keep on thinking where is MJ, where is MJ?  When Man In The Mirror started I kept thinking to myself how hungry the world is for MJ.  How much the world needs MJ back.  I think it is finally beginning to dawn on the world what they have in MJ.  I hope all my writing makes sense.  I just think that the world's collective soul longs for the return of MJ. Daddy, I know that I am waiting for you to come home.  Life is not the same without you.  Daddy, I love you with all my heart. xxxxxxxxx Blessings and L.O.V.E. to all! xxx

here is the video your watching right now, as you see the light men appearing in the back of chris brown you would see on your right hand side they're 3 light men, on the right hand side you would see 3 on the left you would see 3 light men but one went behind one light men, and yes that was michael. It seems to me he must have made a mistake or he did that on purpose, idk, but the light men who went behind the other men, he had big hands he is shoulder was broad and skinny also and he defintely walked like michael. the video starts at 2:35 and you see michael goin behind the dancer
[youtube:na2pr7td]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StiitMwBoi0&feature=player_embedded[/youtube:na2pr7td]

OMG1.jpg[/attachment:na2pr7td]

After that, i couldnt take a good shot of it, but it was so fucking quick and im pissed because i cant shot it at all. At 2:39 you see michael moving to the left, as soon as the light went off you see michael goin to the left, its not even freaking second its so quick. Oh yea, michael is the 6 light man to the far left, rememeber there were 5 but it was 6 men

here is the pic i tried my best getting it but it was so damn quick, u see michael moving to his the left(removing himself behind the number 5th man) i think it was his hands im seeingomg3.jpg[/attachment:na2pr7td]

MIKE THANKS FOR THE MESSAGE HE IS LOOKING AT OUR REACTIONS NO WAY DOES JERMAINE JUST INTRODUCE THE TRIBUTE OUT OF NOWHERE. IT'S A TRIBUTE THAT MAKES YOU THINK WILL YOU JUDGE CHRIS BROWN, COULD HE HAVE USED THIS TRIBUTE AS A WAY OF GETTING SYMPATHY. REALLY I SEE IT AS A TEST. CHRIS BROWN WAS A PERFECT EXAMPLE I CAN SEE TMZ POSTS JUDGING THE MAN JUST EXACTLY HOW THEY JUDGED MICHAEL IN THE PAST. MMM........I'M IN REFLECTIVE MODE NOW. I was tripping when Jermaine was introducing MJ's tribute.  First of all was it just me or did Jermaine get booed ast first?  Anyway Jermaine was like and here he is and he didn't say the name.  Then you just see the curtain with someone dancing behind it.  I was like oh snap who the heck is this.  I was like I hope it's MJ but it turned out to be Chris Brown.  I think he did a rather good job but he kinda made me irritated that he broke down and didn't finish the song.  I don't know if he was really caught up in the moment or if he was using that as an opportunity to get sympathy from people.  I hope his reaction was genuine not trying to be mean.  Anyway I really like the Smoothe Criminal part where the suits lit up in the dark that was sick. Oh by the way El Debarge MJ's ex brother in law that was a suprise.  He still got it. :D

Perhaps the reason Jermaine didn't announce "Chris Brown" is because people would have booed him right off of the stage. Better to just leave the name off and let them watch it not realizing who it is until after the song begins. Then they just think of Michael.

Except Chris really did commit the crime whereas Michael did not.

I don't think anyone was saying THAT. Or at least I wasn't, I don't forgive him but I do think it was a mistake & that he regrets it big time, look what it did to his reputation, his image & his career. Chris is talented & he did a great job tributing his idol. He deserves props for that. & I was just saying I thought him breaking down was genuine. As for what he did, he IS guilty of that, but don't you think going to court for it & his career being ruined was him paying for that? I DON'T condone violence like that, but I do believe people can change & that God believes in second chances, so maybe we should give him the credit he deserves as far as his talent goes & that he did the best tribute so far & leave all the rest of that to the side right now.

Can someone write a nice summary for me?  :(
My BB isn't letting me watch the videos,
and I'd love to know what happened.
 :?:

Jermaine says something like "Michael is a legend to you, but he's my brother. I love you Michael. Theres 1 very special tribute, and here he is!" then the camera goes to a shadow behind a curtain, with the fedora, and the music to the slow version of "The Way You Make Me Feel" is playing, and the shadow behind the curtain is dancing, and then the curtain pulls up and Chris Brown starts singing (the slow version of TWYMMF) and then Remember The Time starts playing, and Chris Brown and other people are dancing the routine for that song, and then Chris Brown runs off (to change into Billie Jean) and Smooth Criminal starts to play, and these 6 people in suits and a fedora, do the smooth criminal, and what's cool is that they do it in the dark, and their suits and hats have gold lights. Then Chris Brown comes back out, dressed in the traditional billie jean costume, and he dances to the moonwalk section of Billie Jean, does the moonwalk, and then it starts the dancing-only part of Billie Jean that MJ did at his concerts after singing Billie Jean. And then Man In The Mirror starts playing while pictures of the oil spill are shown, and Chris Brown doesn't sing, because he's crying, and he tries to sing while wiping his tears, but he can't. So thats basically all. :)
I hope I helped.

P.S. BEAUTIFUL signature pictures!!  8-)

Did Jermaine get booed? I hope not. How disrespectful if he did. I don't care what he did, I don't care what we say about him. He was there for his brother & speaking about his brother. Can you imagine if that happened to you? We believe MJ is alive, but those people believe he's dead yet they boo his brother who just experienced a loss? I really hope he wasn't booed & that they were cheering saying "Wooooo!"

What did Jermaine mean when he said "but there is one tribute, one tribute performance we've yet to see" ? Is this like the last tribute or something, 'cause he emphasizes the "one" ?

Just saw the tribute for Michael and it was fine, but I really can't enjoy it.
All I can think of is: where were you when you were needed the most?
I'm not refering to Chris Brown because I hardly know the man, I don't even know how long he is in the music business, but to everyone who has nice words to say about Michael now he is 'dead' and award programs which are tumbling over eachother with tributes, I hate it. This morning, I watched the news about Michael's death, which I recorded last year, and one after the other celebrity spoke with love and affection about Michael. None of those people defended Michael when he went through that horrible period of the alligations and the trial. If they were there for him then, I firmly believe things would have been different for Michael after that trial. So, no tributes for me, it doesn't make the pain go away. They should have done that when he was still in our midst.

Perhaps the reason Jermaine didn't announce "Chris Brown" is because people would have booed him right off of the stage. Better to just leave the name off and let them watch it not realizing who it is until after the song begins. Then they just think of Michael.

Chris Brown was always a good kid to me, well young man I should say...

I NEVER thought him & Rhianna made a good couple, but that is my opinion, and this is how I feel about that whole incident:

Rhi & CB's people kept them together for publicity after they were not getting along anymore... and being a person who counseled kids for a long time, you can not leave 2 kids alone together who are at ends with each other... it just doesn't work.

I have also seen many of fights in my day, and because there were no witnesses to what happened, (and neither of them has ever told the story) I make my opinions based on what I notice: IMO Rhi may have played a large part in that fight, but being that CB is the stronger one, the injuries are much more evident...

IMHO, I have seen girls who think they are tough instigate fights with nice guys because they think nice guys are weak, talking to them any ole kinda' way, even mushing them, pushing them and even smacking them... I am not going to get any deeper into this because it is the past, and I'm sure Chris has learned from his mistakes...

I was clapping when I realized it was Chris Brown (and I was crying too!! ) and I was proud he repped (represented) MJ so well! I was happy BET gave him a chance cause I'd take a CB performance over a Rhi performance any day  :D

Because this segment of the performance was a series of flashing lights, it was very difficult to capture.  Here's what I've got:

The first  screen shot is 5 men + Chris...

Then Chris leaves and it is just 5 men.

Then a 6th man appears, 2nd to the left (this man is not Chris, because Chris is having a costume change)

Your best bet would be to watch the video again, because the pictures don't tell the complete story.

Quote from: "palmpre"
here is the video your watching right now, as you see the light men appearing in the back of chris brown you would see on your right hand side they're 3 light men, on the right hand side you would see 3 on the left you would see 3 light men but one went behind one light men, and yes that was michael. It seems to me he must have made a mistake or he did that on purpose, idk, but the light men who went behind the other men, he had big hands he is shoulder was broad and skinny also and he defintely walked like michael. the video starts at 2:35 and you see michael goin behind the dancer

After that, i couldnt take a good shot of it, but it was so fucking quick and im pissed because i cant shot it at all. At 2:39 you see michael moving to the left, as soon as the light went off you see michael goin to the left, its not even freaking second its so quick. Oh yea, michael is the 6 light man to the far left, rememeber there were 5 but it was 6 men

here is the pic i tried my best getting it but it was so damn quick, u see michael moving to his the left(removing himself behind the number 5th man) i think it was his hands im seeing

This is a good youtube video, it supports both of your theories. I think we should watch this!

To respond to that..may I just ask why nobody ever thinks of this when we say "There were body doubles in This Is It" or "The Michael at the 02 in London wasn't really him."
Someone said eariler even if Michael were trying to dance bad he'd still be better than the rest, and that's true! Michael is not that easy to just find someone else to not only immitate but literally BE him. He's too unique, I don't care how much training or plastic surgery someone goes through. To say that an entirely different person can so easily be exactly like Michael so much so that the world thinks that person IS Michael, then who's to say when Michael comes back it will be really him and not someone new, and ALSO that's saying the Michael is not as special and unique as he is and he's not one in a million because you can easily find someone and turn him into the exact same man. Get what I'm saying?

Wow Genevieve's boyfriend was laughing at a tribute for her uncle?  That's odd.  It seem like she would get mad at her boyfriend if someone was paying respect to her uncle who is suppose to have died. ( Maybe because he's still here.)  I saw her on tv recently.  She doesn't appear to be very friendly to me.  She seem like she might have a bit of an attitude.  I saw her on E! talking about her family and she seem like she was a little irritated.  I don't know what to think of her.  I wonder if she was even close to her Uncle Mike.  It seem like MJ was the closest to Tito's sons to me.  I know Janet is close to her nephew Austin.  I've read some of his tweets and he seem like he might be a really sweet guy.  He responds back to people on twitter and thanks them for their support.

I don't know if it has been said above, but honestly why do people believe the violence was all Chris' fault.

Is it because Media said it? Or because the TPTB actually got away with proving he was guilty.

Rihanna's pic could be fake, Chris could have been under the influence or the whole incident could have been made up. Remember till the end Chris said he had no recollection of what happened and he could not believe he could have done that. It is very possible the pic is fake though as Rihanna's face cleared up pretty fast and was looking as pretty as ever in a few days. Wish we were that lucky and healed fast.

The most important thing to note is how Rihanna went over to the dark side around that time (it is obvious with all her illuminati signs and symbols in her videos and performances) and how her career sky rocketed after that. I would guess that Chris resisted joining them and so was humiliated and his career ended. It cannot be a coincidence that Mark Gregaros is always around to help fallen angels - I would think he is some kind of deprogrammer.

Michael obviously is aware of this character assassination attempt and hence has given Chris the opportunity to get back up again. Remember if he thought Chris was guilty he would never have allowed him to be associated with a tribute. Did you also notice Jermaine putting his arm around Chris after he cried - it showed a few Jacksons care about Chris.

My take on Chris is give him a break! I do not in any way condone what he did but I think he deserves a chance to prove himself as a good man and that he is not going to go down that road of violence and stay there. He's an awesome performer and a human being. The press needs to stop harping on Chris and see if he can shine again.

I wouldn't judge her based on what her boyfriend said, MJ might not be gone & that's why it's funny to her boyfriend. Or maybe it's just him acting dumb & she might have been mad at him for it. How would we know? She's lived in the Encino home pretty much the whole time she was growing up. So I'm sure at some point she was close to MJ. Maybe she was irritated during the interview you saw, sometimes people can ask some mean or stupid questions.

I've always thought it was strange that Chris apologizes for writing Disturbia in his song to Rihanna, Famous Girl and he has a website called http://www.mechanicaldummy.com (http://www.mechanicaldummy.com).  I wonder if the two tie into each other. You never know. I wouldn't rule it out. Something seems off about it. I always felt that. I wasn't there so I have no idea what happened but if he did physically abuse her, I pray that he got the necessary help to stop that and I do believe people can change. And I do know he is talented as hell. I had the pleasure of seeing him live for his small tour promoting Graffiti and he was amazing.

Edit: Okay, I could be wrong about the baphomet ring. I can't tell what it is now. At the time, when I saw the Rihanna/Diane Sawyer interview on TV, it looked like a baphomet ring but now that I'm seeing it on YouTube, I'm not so sure. You can watch the beginning of this clip and see if you can make out what her ring is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hO6_tueidVs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hO6_tueidVs)

I agree with you 100%. Chris Brown for me has been the only artist to have even a smiggen of the potential MJ had. He is a true artist. I don't know what happened with him and Rhianna and I've always felt that the situation was manipulated... just fabricated to bring Chris down. You're right about all the illuminati stuff too and how Rhiana changes. Maybe Chris was too good an influence for her and they wanted to destroy him for that. I still love Chris so much and I've learned to NOT believe everything I read. What a beautiful tribute by the way.

EDIT: AND THIS IS WHY WE NEED MICHAEL BACK ASAP. ;)

I don't think he was trying to imitate him so much as just use his moves as a way to honor him...he definitely has his own unique style of dancing. I think what he did was very appropriate. he's one of my favorite artist of this generation for sure.

I think Jermaine's intro was a clue...I honestly think one of those "light men" were Michael. A couple of them looked like they could be. And remember, if it was MJ I'm sure he'd be trying to blend in at least a little...can't make it TOO obvious. Therefore, Jermaine wouldn't have been lying.. he was introducing the MAN. Whether or not Chris knew MJ was there dancing...I don't know. Kind of doubt it. But it would be soooo easy for him to sneak in there. I really think that he was there.

Jermaine Jackson wants critics to forgive Chris Brown

ANITuesday, June 29, 2010 17:48 IST

Jermaine Jackson was touched by Chris Brown's tribute to his brother Michael Jackson at the BET Awards and he now wants R&B star's critics to forgive him for beating up Rihanna.

The singer broke down during a rendition of Jackson's 'Man in the Mirror' at the BET Awards, which prompted Jermaine Jackson to stand up for, the young star backstage.

"He's a human being like all others, we all make mistakes. What he did was wrong. I love Rihanna... I'm one of his biggest fans... We can't condemn him because of what happened. We hope he learns from this," the Daily Express quoted him as saying in TV news show Extra.

"He (Brown) deserves to perform because it's healing for him. How can he learn from his mistakes if you don't give him the chance? He needs that. I support him a thousand per cent; I'm not supporting what he did because it was wrong, but, at the same time, we have to give him a chance," he added.

And Jackson even admitted that he was greatly moved by Brown's tribute to his late sibling, "It was very emotional for me... It was just a spectacular moment."

Didn't see you drop a tear in 12 months Jermaine..

I posted this in another thread about this but figure it can be applied here as well.

I am not sure if I believe he was there or not. However, I cannot totally rule it out because some questions did come to mind. Why would the 6th dancer hide behind the 5th one? How can a dancer make that big of a mistake? And what would be the point of it if it was choreographed that way?  Another thought came to mind as well. What if it is symbolic to the Jacksons themselves. There are a total of 6 brothers. However, one is supposedly dead or in our view, hidden behind the shadows. Perhaps, that is why the 6th dancer, whether its Michael or the representation of the 6th brother (Michael), comes out once the lights come off because he is hidden in plain view. This also reminds me of the Twitter account, ALLJACK5ONS. http://twitter.com/ALLJACK5ONS (http://twitter.com/ALLJACK5ONS) Who is hidden in plain view in the background? Michael.

Considering MJ is someone who wouldn't even step on a bug, I can't help but wonder how he feels about an ADMITTED DOMESTIC ABUSER doing a tribute for him.  Personally I was highly offended that Chris was allowed to give MJ a tribute.  I don't care how much he looks up to MJ, Chris doesn't deserve that honor.

I am not sure if this was in reference to my post but if so, I am not talking about Marlon's twin. He would be the 7th brother.

well then it seems to me that since Michael himself was trashed by the media over and over again and they more or less tried to take everything he worked for away from him, and even if Michael himself didn't do what he was accused of, I believe he would have felt for Chris Brown and since he paid his dues, I believe Michael would have given him a second chance, and if people can't forgive someone then how the heck can anyone change the world, Michael might not have liked what Chris did, but he wouldn't have wanted him trashed by the media like they have done him for years, Man in the mirror pretty much says it all, and since he was picked to do it, I believe  MJ was  behind that,

The report was obtained from a backstage source, but a spokesperson for the 'Run It!' singer dismisses it, calling it 'completely untrue.'

Chris Brown's tears at the recent BET Awards are still hot issue. After Lloyd sparked controversy with his statement which mentioned that he asked Brown to cry on stage but later on traced it back, now a source revealed the R&B singer used eye drops to fake the tears.

The backstage source told Us Magazine that one of Brown's bodyguards gave him some tear-inducing eye drops just before he went onto the stage to sing "Man in the Mirror" at the Michael Jackson tribute. "He rubbed it in and he started crying," the witness testified.

Responding to this rumor, a representative for Brown was quick to deny it. The spokesperson called the report "completely untrue."

Chris Brown himself doesn't seem to be bothered with the controversy surrounding his BET breakdown. He was all smiles when caught on camera at Magic Mountain amusement spot on June 30. Along with fellow rapper Tyga and some friends, he took a ride on one of the arcade stands and even spared time to pose with his fans.

Last night Tmz was talking to this rapper I forget his name but he said he saw the Chris Brown MJ tribute and he said that Chris deserves an Oscar for that performance.  It is kinda funny that this issue keeps coming up.  This dude was there in person so I'm sure he would get a better feel of the reaction than people who are watching on tv.  I just found it funny TMZ felt the need to ask this question.  They had some weird segments on that show last night.  They also had a segment where the camera man is talking to Keisha Knight from Cosby show and the guy that played her friend on the show Bud.  They were talking about horror movies and why black people are the first to die in these movies.  Then Harvey made a comparison between Chris Brown and OJ as well.  It was just all strange.

Chris Brown is trying to salvage his career. He is trying to gain forgiveness & be able to move on with his life. & of course TMZ & other people are tearing him back down & not letting it happen. Same old story. Someone tries to change their life around & get back on their feet & people have to kick them back down. & of course people who don't like Chris for what he did & don't think he should ever be forgiven are going to call his tears, crocodile tears & all of that. I'm not excusing Chris' actions towards Rihanna but I agree with Jermaine, how can he ever make things right & learn how to be better if no one gives him the chance & we all keep putting him back down?

At this point, I don't care if he used eye drops, if he splashed water on his face, if used an actor's technique, or if he really did cry...they need to either leave the boy alone or give him an Oscar. One or the other. *sighs* (I really don't think he was faking btw but just in case...then he deserves an Oscar. If he acted that one, he did a better job than 90% of Hollywood actors.   )

...I don't care if Cris used eyes drops for faking cry...but it is interesting to think that when we saw jermaine or other jackson family member crying, they should have use it!!

Do you think Michael Jackson could have been singing the song behind stage? :?

I know we always think this, but Man in the Mirror sounded different to me.  :|
It sounds different to me too. And it's interesting that the staff was so ready to play the song after Chris couldn't continue singing it... I guess it was planned this way. Chris fakes crying and then they play this strange Man in the mirror. It can be from a concert by Michael or the original was changed a little, IDK.

And I believe the 2. man from the left could be Michael very easily! For me he moves absolutely like him. If you watch just him and forget the others, he makes you believe you see him - just my opinion.

However you don't have any problems with womanizers and child rapists doing one?  That boy has paid his dues.  Give me a break.  Michael had a lot of respect for Chris Brown  Who are we to judge him?

Not sure if this is going to show up correctly since it is the first time I have quoted someone else, but I would appreciate it if you would not put words in my mouth.  Never did I say that it is OK for a "womanizer or child rapist" to do a tribute.  I don't like CB and don't feel that he should have been able to do a tribute.  I'm sorry if my opinion doesn't follow the majority, but I thought we were all free to voice our opinions on here.  Domestic abuse hits a hard note for me so excuse me for being offended!  Now stop putting words in my mouth!

Chris Brown deserves to be forgiven  no less than anybody else.  I am sure there are some skeletons in most closets; however Chris Brown happened to do his dirt in front of millions of judging eyes.  He did a wonderful tribute to Michael Jackson, and his appreciation for Michael has nada to do with his personal conflicts with his woman.  Two completely different conversations, in my opinion.

For me his tears were REAL !! and ppl who claim that CB used eye drops to cry are just being silly! do u guys envy Chris that he was given a chance to do the tribute?..
i feel sorry for u..
CB maybe isn't innocent, he did mistakes.. but as to the tribute.. i think he behaved really well and we should not criticise him for his tears!! i was crying too!!

I believe we miss the point if we don't focus on the song itself.
When Chris cries and cannot sing, we can hear Michael singing instead, like helping him out. Sometimes they sing alone, sometimes they sing together. I think it's a kind of coreography, but I haven't listened to it that much, so I don't know why they sing this way. I'm gonna listen to it again tomorrow.
If you don't have the video you can watch it here (and download also)
http://www.tmz.com/videos?autoplay=true ... fe22789bf3 (http://www.tmz.com/videos?autoplay=true&mediaKey=0bb9f058-c9e0-4c35-8cdc-2dfe22789bf3)
At 04:49 you can hear that Chris stops singing after singing the words "It's gonna"
I'm Gonna Make A Change,
For Once In My Life
It's Gonna

And Michael starts singing from "It's gonna" - so they sing this together and then Michael continues:
Feel Real Good,
Gonna Make A Difference

Then nobody sings...Later Chris continues, and then Michael, and then they sing together...
It sounds strange to me, I mean during listening to it. The way I wrote it down doesn't give back the feeling I have about it - so if you have time, please listen the song this way, and tell what you think. Thanks.

When Chris cried during man in the mirror it reminded me also of when MJ would get down on his knee and he would cover his face and seem like he was crying.  The crowd always got real emotional whenever MJ did this.  That's what I thought about that part as well.

Please let's not be starting something.
I think she's said before that she refuses to like
him because of a bad personal experience.
Let her have her opinion.
All with the L.O.V.E.

I suggest to create a new topic for those who can watch Chris Brown, because I think - just as I said above - that this "Man in the mirror" song may have an important coreography. And I'm also 99% sure it was Michael dancing there (the second from the left). If many of you are interested to change our thoughts about these, we could make a new topic.
