Hello all!
I am planning something pretty big for June 25th, 2010. I have already contacted Randy Jackson about it and will be contacting other Jacksons.
Anyways, my plan is:
Execute a HUGE flash mob, consisting of MJ fans.
Location - Forest Lawn (either inside or at the gates)
Time - 2:26 pm
I plan for the flash mob to be:
1) Everyone does Drill/TDCAU
2) Everyone sings We are the World
3) Everyone sings Man in the Mirror
OR
4) Everyone sings MULTIPLE MJ songs.
Oh and everyone brings a sunflower :D
Tell me your thoughts, like if you'd be interested, or what you think.

Just my 2 cents, for what it's worth:
Do you think Forest Lawn is the most appropriate location to organize a flash mob..? Please keep in mind that this is a cemetery after all, where loved ones are buried and where people visit their loved ones. Think back of the burial footage, which was green screened, in my opinion because it would have been disrespectful to have a fake funeral at a real cemetery. Do you really want to turn Forest Lawn into a circus..?

In my opinion it would be nice to have the flash mob outside Neverland :)

Mo!!! just so you know, Forest Lawn is not just a cemetary, it is also a place where you can have Wedding's, Birthdays, and other events that include hollywood production events, along with corperate events. so no its not disrespectful.

I'm talking about the Glendale location. The information on the website of Forest Lawn tells me that at Forest Lawn Glendale there are 3 churches which can be used for funerals, weddings and baptisms. Museums at the Glendale locations can be visited. For other "events" they direct you to Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, i.e. Hall of Liberty

I spent a lot of time at Forest Lawn and yes you can have celebrations there
A lot of weddings because of the beautiful parks and statues
Mo you should know your facts before posting

Is this event for believers only or will non-believers participate as well? Non-believers may be saddened to be in the place where they think that Mj is buried. What about Neverland? It might be very inspirational to bring Neverland back to life and re-create the happier atmosphere that the place once had by hosting the celebration there. Plus from what we have learned Neverland has re-opened for other entertainment events i.e. the concert by Orianthi. Just curious...how on earth did you gain access to Randy Jackson and plan to gain access to other Jacksons as well? Are they that easily accessible? Hey ...something new is learned day on this forum.

Hoaxornot, despite "facts", it is my opinion that organizing a huge flash mob on a cemetery is quite disrespectful. People are buried there, it's a sacred place for those who laid their loved ones to rest.

I tend to agree...something just doesn't feel "right" about it. I think the original idea is great though, just organize and execute it somewhere else. Neverland is a good suggestion. Otherwise just somewhere big enough and well known would suffice. Everyone knows it's the 1 year anniversary of MJ's "death", doesn't have to be at his home or burial site for people to know what you're celebrating...especially if his music and dancing is incorporated.

i think it should be organized in Neverland where Michael has spent the most wonderful, magical and funniest moments in his life, afterall we are celebratin' his life and it would be the best place to celebrate it, i wish i could be there too, what a shame :(
-
Michael hated Neverland
My friend was at Neverland 3 weeks ago.. said it is a very sad place...Empty and quiet
-
Well, I had said Forest Lawn, because a lot of fans are going to gather there (either inside *if allowed* or outside the gates).
But I am considering other locations (Neverland, Carolwood House, etc)
