Here's where Katherine will be living -- along with Michael Jackson's three kids -- for the next few months. It's a 12,670 square-foot mansion in Calabasas, CA -- just a block from Britney Spears!
Katherine is plunking down $26,000 a month -- the exact amount of her monthly allowance from the Michael Jackson estate -- while her Encino home is being extensively remodeled.
The 7 bedroom rental features a game room, movie theater, guest house, Jesus juice wine cellar, and much more.

Exact amount as allowance, what if they are saying KJ wanted more that her 26,000 allowance before was just prove that MJ is working with TMZ. Maybe it is a coincidence that it was the exact amount but I think this says something, like this was planned all along.

I don't get it ???? Why would she need to spend so much money if its just her and the 3 children now ????
That makes me wonder big time, why such an expensive home, with so much space.
Didn't she kick out the other children other than Genevieve?? Why does she need to live like that??
My only conclusion is that someone else is paying for it...don't forget, she has to pay for the renovations at Encino as well...where is the $$$$$ coming from???

I have to think there is more to this, however. (shocker, I know! :) )
1) Miss Katherine is an older woman (sorry, no disrespect)
that house is full of slippery marble, stairs...etc. things an older lady may want to avoid. I went through this with parents a long time ago.
2) If she is "plunking down" all her 26K a month ..... what about food, upkeep (surely she is not going to clean 12,000 square feet!), life's necessities, etc. I am sure she has savings, but there was that article about how she was saying....who could live on this amount of money??.......it made it sound like she was barely scraping by. Moving expenses aside.....that's a huge home to move into.
3) I have to laugh at the square footage:

why would KJ "RENT" a house for $26,000 a month?
In Michael's case with the Carolwood property I could understand it, AEG was picking up the tab. But THIS rental seems over the top. Even if Katherine has nannies and a chef and an assistant in tow, why would she first complian she doesn't get enough from the estate (only $26,000 as opposed to her usual $66,000) and the "plunk down" all of it on a rental payment?...something doesn't add up. :?
Either this is setting a stage for another "hoax", like the Carolwood property or KJ needs to get new financial advisors!
....it's not about the ability to pay...it's just about common sense!...what a waste of money :roll:
I hate to say it, but if this whole thing isn't part of a "plan"...I'm apt to believe the rumors about them being in debt in the past due to poor money management might be true...I hope they figured out how to make this a huge tax write off :(

The courtroom drama started when Michael Jackson not arrived in time to the Court because it was being treated at a hospital for what was described as serious a problem back, but then the singer rushed to reach the Court where the judge threatened to arrest him and revoke his bail of $ 3 million. The judge then cancelled the order.
Jackson, 46-year-old walked slowly to his court, dressed in a jacket over a shirt and trousers of Pajamas with distraught countenance.
Later, Jackson heard the applicant declare about their visits to the estate Neverland, which claimed, took alcohol saw sex magazines and eventually suffered abuse while lying in bed of Jackson.
Questioned by the Prosecutor Tom Sneddon, child noted that you could only remember two matches. During testimony, the child, which sometimes talked between teeth, said Jackson played it for the first time in his room, below sheets, after returning from drinking alcohol in Neverland games room. It began as a conversation about masturbation, claimed.

The day ended with Mesereau interrogating the child regarding his participation in demand that his mother submitted against chain stores J.C. Penney, claiming that the family had been abused by security guards.
Moments before, the applicant indicated that Jackson gave him drink wine and called "Jesus juice" drink. He said that Jackson had given wine in a can of Coca Cola Light and had assured him that help you relax from all the commotion that the documentary had been raised in the press.
"Asked me if I had heard once the juice of Jesus." "Asked me if I knew that Jesus drank wine and said that ' we call it Jesus juice"', he added. "I took a little bit and I told him that he knew horrible..." He "said that he knew that I was very tense due to the attention of the press and Jesus juice me Recusants".

Ya so I think Michael is obviously paying for all of this. The math just doesn't add up if Katherine is seriously living on 26K a month from her allowance from the "Estate". Hmm, the word estate can also mean property, a home (usually a home of considerable size), maybe there's an inside joke there or something. Something like, Michael thinks it's funny for her to spend 26K renting an estate, with that money supposedly being from Michael's "Estate". Clever!
And it is very interesting that there are 7 bedrooms and the square footage can be broken down to 7 like wishingstar pointed out.

I find the title "KJ's getaway" striking, a strange choice of words, KJ and MJ a small difference. MJ's getaway is more suitable concerning the hoax.
This news could also be a derivation of Hayvenhurst or Carolwood with the intention that the public eye is more focused on KJ's beautiful getaway and not on Hayvenhurst or Carolwood where MJ could be living right now (or is going to). Everything is possible.

I have no idea. It didn't look like it needed fixing up to me. At least not that it would involve having to vacate the premises. Maybe, it will be transformed into a mini -Neverland !!!She may have received quite alot of money for doing those interviews with OPRAH. That might be a reason for the expensive taste.

This was something I found about his last home lol The Bel-Air house he rented recently was described as "an elaborate French chateau on more than an acre with lots of marble." The house, built in 2002, has seven bedrooms and 13 bathrooms plus a theater. Seems like his mo :D

Just a thought, maybe this is all tabloid hoax, and it's really Neverland that's being renovated, because the Jesus juice incident supposedly took place there, plus he had a movie theater and guest house there. And Michael Jackson is no ordinary person either! It's MJ's Getaway!

Just a random thought:
From the homesandland.com site the house sits on less than an acre of land.....38,507 square ft lot....an acre is 43,560 square ft. The TMZ photos make it look like it's gated...that must be the gate to the community? What I am getting at is, the house sits on the street. I would think any house they live in, privacy would be a factor...even in a gated community. There is very little real privacy in that house/lot.

UPDATE: TMZ has learned, the MJ Estate is paying the $26 grand a month for the rental, in addition to all the other perks Katherine gets, including cooks, security, cars, taxes, house maintenance, vacations, house renovations, etc. etc. etc.
