Title: Interesting choice of words Wikipedia
Post by: ninanin on September 13, 2010, 06:39:20 AM
I found this on Wikipedia .......... In 2009 a new series from A&E entitled The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty premiered documenting the Jackson brothers dealing with the supposed loss of Michael and Preparing for a Jackson 5 Reunion tour.[7]

Deffinition of "supposed" .....

sup·posed
   /səˈpoʊzd, -ˈpoʊzɪd/ Show Spelled[suh-pohzd, -poh-zid] Show IPA
–adjective
1.
assumed as true, regardless of fact; hypothetical: a supposed case.
2.
accepted or believed as true, without positive knowledge: the supposed site of an ancient temple.
3.
merely thought to be such; imagined: supposed gains.

So the Wikipedia encyclopedia is not sure what happened to MJ either ?  This I like :=)

much love

And that is why Michael Jackson's page has been on complete lockdown. No one is allowed to edit it. Wikipedia also has a Michael Jackson Portal now.

No.
But they give out the ip-adress from the one who changed the page.
So if you insult your president on wikipedia (just as an example)
you can get in trouble.

What I have always found interesting about the legalities of the Jackson Family Dynasty is that is it listed as a "docu-drama" produced by Jodi Gomes for A&E Television.  Here is the link where this classification can be documented.....

http://www.point7entertainment.net/projects.htm (http://www.point7entertainment.net/projects.htm)  (It is the first entry, clearly listed as a docu-drama NOT a reality show).

After seeing that classification months ago, I remembered the TMZ article where they referred to Conrad Murray "docu-drama" with the D.A.  That link can be found here....

http://www.tmz.com/2010/03/16/conrad-mu ... documents/ (http://www.tmz.com/2010/03/16/conrad-murray-michael-jackson-los-angeles-district-attorney-documents/)

And HERE is the DEFINITION of docu-drama:  Unlike a true documentary, a docu-drama may include staged footage with actors. Depending on the topic, little to no documentary footage may be used. In many cases, docu-dramas may also create entirely staged hypothetical situations.

I had started a thread about this a long time ago (but only a couple of people seemed to see any significance    ) .....my original thread is here....

viewtopic.php?f=17&t=9159&p=152451&hilit=family+dynasty+docu#p152451 (http://michaeljacksonhoaxforum.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=9159&p=152451&hilit=family+dynasty+docu#p152451)

I personally have always thought this was highly significant.    And for any who may not know, Point 7 entertainment was also the producer of The Jackson Family: An American Dream.

About the use of "supposed"in this context.

some years back it was reported that the Jacksons 5 will be returning but Mj was not so fun of it.
Part of the come back was to create a "reality-show" about the Jacksons and to use in it new dancers for the upcoming shows and concerts.

It makes sense.
MJ dies and the Jacksons plans to come back. TII (which can be also a part of that reality show) shows the world dancers that who knows if they will be part of the dancing/singing crew of the upcoming J5 events, shows and concerts.

Also, 2 big tabloids are used to put MJ in the spot light since January 2009 with the "MJ has 6 months to live" and by coincidence "dies 6 months after that gossip is published".

Each time there is a big J5 related announcement, some tabloid talks about MJ news related.

That, in my village, it´s called marketing with a porpouse....a business of some sort, prepearing the bed sort of saying.

So, the use of supposed in this context would be quite accurate if we look from the reality show prisma  ;)

I just can´t believe that MJ would do something like faking his death for a come back. If that is the situation, some one else should have been giving that "marketing" idea...but as he said; "family 1st, fans 2nd" :|
