I'm not sure but as she wanted people to know his dad was the best father and that she would always love him, maybe she wanted to say that this "good father" state, would last forever...I don't think we can have clue about it.
My attention saddenly caught the verb tense Paris used in her speech. Where she says:"Daddy HAS BEEN the best father..." instead of WAS as should be when the exact date and time of the past and non continuous event is known. Paris genuinely and automatically instead of Past Tense used correct Past Participle Tense that according to Longman Dictionary describied: been- the Past Participle of Be-"have/has been used in the order to say that someone has gone to a place and come back"; or internet grammar education site I found says: has/have (not) + past participle; the past participle by using the present perfect tense. It shows something that started in the past, but continues until now.I might be wrong since English is not my native language. Please comment what do you think. You are not allowed to view links.
