As often as you can, preferably every few seconds. If for whatever reason you can only donate one tweet, that's ok; your contribution still helps. But please do tweet as often as you can.
Keep in mind we're limited to 100 tweets an hour; so, pace yourself wisely once you start reaching that limit or you'll be thrown in twitter jail for 60 minutes if the hour isn't up. Same goes for the twitter die-hards who have multiple accounts - remember the limit :P

Hello everybody. I would like to make a suggestion that will help with this twitter campaign for Michael. We have several days to prepare and my suggestion is to make a file of comments that you can copy/paste from. Use the twitter box to write the comments so that you know you are within the allowed amount of characters. Then copy and paste it to a file and save it for use on July 5th. Think of short but powerful statements that will make people curious, and of course have #ElvisandMJdotcom on every tweet.

I'm in exactly the same position, please don't feel ashamed! Personally, I've always been against Twitter, seeing it as another way in which the modern world is using technology more and more instead of genuine personal contact. But I do see it's use in something like this worldwide simultanious effort. And if MJ wants me to do it then I'll do it!
I hope someone will tell us what we need to do. I particularly don't know if my tweet(s) will be of use if I have no followers and am following no-one. Will anyone get to see them or is the idea that they'll just be counted towards the big total that we're trying to achieve?

I am doing the same. Since three days I have a twitter account - none of my friends has one. I follow some people or organizations on my account - but no one will hear me, because no one follows me ... I do not know what to do ... I would have loved it but :( ...

Or are Twitter illiterate, ;)
1. Go to the beginning of this thread where (Souza?) posted a link to another thread.
2. Read through it and choose the most eye-catching of the tweets. Say Cred2(whoever made it)
3. Copy and paste it into the box that says "What's Happening".
4. Click "Tweet".
Optional:
5. Tweet it many times. Change it up a bit every time so it won't say it's a duplicate.

I got a PM from someone who asked what the use would be of making this trending today. I think there might be more people that think that way, so I decided to post my answer here as well.
I believe there are a couple of reasons:
1. This needs to be picked up by the mainstream media. They will not quote a hoaxforum, but the chances are bigger when it will be a trending topic on Twitter. Besides that (I am still convinced TMZ is in) TMZ is maybe waiting for a TT so they can report about it. They need an excuse, maybe a TT will do the trick.
2. We need to show that we are able to unite and do something together that can reach the whole world. A TT reaches the whole world and if it works, we did that. There are millions and millions of people on Twitter, if only 1% will go to the website, it will be known worldwide.
If it doesn't do a thing, at least we tried and we showed we can make something like this work.
And what harm would it do?

to spread awareness...there are alot of ppl out there who have never even considered the possibility that mj is alive...there are also many ppl who dont pay attention to the media and are not aware of the many many many inconsistancies or "coincidences" surrounding his "death"

This has happened to me as well after 126 tweets, does this mean I am in jail, boo hoo. How do I get out? :cry:

Ok in Twitter jail now! I'm using another account but it keeps coming up with Tech problems & I have only managed to tweet about twice in last 20 mins - I'll keep trying but it's slow going!!!
Ok it started working again now - but in Twitter jail for this account too so that's me done - Have fun & good luck 4 the rest of you :D

apparently u cant tweet the exact same msg twice...try changing it up a little ;)

I think the tech errors show up when you post the same tweet more than once.
Still, we have 3873 members here, if every one tweet at least once, we could do it. 408 contributors until now. We need more!

I know, but the actual act of Copying&Pasting gave me the error. I've posted many duplicates already :P
BTW for those saying that Twitter is acting slow/laggy, try using tDash.org; it solved the lag problem for me. =)

Just click on HOME and keep on doing the same thing till you find your page.

I am also getting the big whale as well as technical problems. I've had to sign in and out several times because my tweets are nut updating the circle just keeps going round and round. One would think that this would be trending by now!!!!
