I read somewhere (don't remember where but it was just a blog) that Michael is a big shareholder of Sun International, which is the owner of Sun City in South Africa. There are apparently 4 hotels in Sun City and one of them is "The Palace of Lost City" and that Michael owns it completely. Does anyone know something about that cause I don't know if it's true...?

The only relation is Mandela.

But still the connection with the world cup is odd because Michael doesn't need a big event like that for his return. And I don't think he would want to draw the attention away from the world cup.
His obvious connection with Africa is indeed Mandela and his crowing as a prince in Krindjabo, Ivory Coast.
