Michael Jackson's Tomb -- Flower Power

Michael Jackson's tomb is ensconced in sunflowers after last week's delivery -- and now we have the pics to prove it.

After Lisa Marie Presley made a plea for more flowers at MJ's final resting place, a flower shop delivered about 1,500 sunflowers (Jackson's fav) to Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, CA.
Along with the delivery, there appear to be several individual arrangements ... with cards and all.

On another note, I have a question I've been wanting to ask for a while, maybe it's been discussed already. What are those raised pictures on the marble/granite on each side. To me they look, like a man and a child. Very strange... :?

Well the "tomb" (lol) is 60 years old and has served has the decorative solid marble centerpiece for the mausoleum since it opened in 1952. It has been published in magazines across the world for the last five decades as the centerpiece for the mausoleum, so the pictures have nothing to do with Michael. This is just a piece of marble that is 60 years old. I'm amazed there are people on this forum who still do not know the history of this "tomb" and believe that Michael is actually inside this solid piece of marble. :lol: :lol:

This AGAIN shows no regard for Michaels privacy, and they have to be the worst photos ever, Sorry but I do not agree with anyones final resting place been disrespected like this, thought the family choose F.L because of its privacy?!?!? No one would know where the tomb was?!?!? just proves yet again nothing is straight forward with Michael.
I'm a big MJ fan but I would never disrespect the families wishes nor would I think I have the right to see this, I've even been told that those that "Love" Michael have the right to see photos of the grave?!?!? Trying to make you feel like you mustn't love Michael if you don't want to see his grave!!!!! :cry:

Interesting comments by TMZ in that link provided. I do have to say about the flowers..that even though I believe that crypt is empty I am one that had flowers sent for good measure. You can see them in the picture. They are yellow :)

I believe the flowers are real. I believe fans send all those things to the crypt. However, I also believe that many of them are resting in the homes of the staff at Forest Lawn or on e-bay somewhere. They are duping Michael's followers and probably getting a big laugh out of it.

about the rat: there was a scene in some jackson movie (think it was 'an american dream') where michael had this pet rat (his only friend) and joe killed it. after that incident, he wrote the song. rats do live on cemeteries, too, so i guess they had to make a parallel somewhere to mike being 'dead' as well or his dead pet rat 'visiting' him.

To be honest, I am not so sure that "most of us know he is alive" nor everyone are "enjoying the show". Then, why do you believe there are so many members "hoping" he is alive, stating "if he is alive" or losing hope through the posts on this board?... Not arguing, but I think you might have noticed that too...

There seems to be a difference in the windows. The ascention has three windows that shine brightly. TMZ photos, seem to have just one window in the back.

Thankyou for posting that link To good to be true. Those beautiful little girls placing their sunflowers there for Michael really touched my heart. He has great fans and that's the truth. And that is why He, in my opinion, is pulling this hoax. He truly loves others so much that He has to do something to shake the system and cause people to wake up to what the powers that be have planned for us. Michael you are awesome and we really love you more.

That is quite a chunk of change :shock: . I always thought that the tomb was especially made just for MJ. I do not believe that MJ resides in this tomb at all. Can you get a link to this information. Wow, it is just a decorative centerpiece for the mausoleum. That explains why visually to me the tomb seem very incongruous in its surroundings.

I think very soon, maybe on the day of the summer solstice , June 21st 2010, the truth will be known. Michael is not buried there.???????? That's my thought about the sunflowers in relation to this hoax. ;) ;)

It kinds resembles a "yellow brick road"...and the background with all the lush green trees, resembles the "Emerald city".
Maybe that was the plan. The path to Holly Terrace is brick, and kinda a road, and now it looks all yellow..........

I actually don't believe it's photoshopped, look at the mirror image in the middle of the picture.
I think it's just that tomb they used to "promote" their mausoleum, and they just put pictures of michael next to it so people will believe it's michael's tomb. Also the sunflowers probably added to this place to let everyone see that they've been deliverd. so TMZ has their "proof" of it :) But hey that's just my opinion :)
To me it just looks too real to be Photoshopped, but also TOO "clearly" for everyone to see you know what I mean?

No I was talking about that big flower bouquet in the middle above the M from TMZ it looks like a mirror image, but I was just looking with my right eye in my left pocket haha :D It's not there ;) But i still believe it's not a photoshopped image :)

I made a comparison of the original pictures of the crypt, compared to those posted by TMZ. The original tomb was built in 1952, when the great mausoleum was later built on. This promotional photo was released in that same year, but seems to be just built for promotional purposes. It is situated directly and that end of the hall, and very visible from the Holly Terrace entrance door....
I definitely believe TMZ have used 2 different tombstones....
