I live in south east Queensland, Australia and the gov't here just flouridated the drinking water last year. There was opposition but they achieved their agenda and now what  comes from our  dams and reserves has  flouride added. We've got chickens and fruit and vegie gardens  and rain catchment tanks, but I'm at a loss of what else I can do. I pray that collectively we can make enough noise to stop their plans.  By the way, you girls are doing a great job.

I'am here in Mexico, and the good thing is the peopl just won't do what the Gov. tells them to do...poverty has it's own rewards.

It depends on the country or region but roughly, workers pay a porcentage of the salary depending on how much the salary is. The State pays everything related to health (not cosmetics, caprices and so on). It includes pensions, compulsory retirement, you get the most of your salary when you sick leave (part from state and part from the company you work for). Includes all kind of expensive tests and procedures. Of course it has its fails.

Are there certain tests, etc. that everyone has to take in order to participate?
Everyone has the right, no test. It´s universal. From the day you´re conceived.

I am leary of it possibly because I just don't understand exactly how it will benefit the entire nation.  Are you free to decide what doctors you can use, etc.?
More or less, you can choose family doctor. But the public doctors, machines and centers are the best. If you´re in a private clinic and need complicated test, they tend to send you to a public hospital. Cuban public health systems is one of the best in the world, if not the best.

But I don´t know how it is going to be in your country, as you have denied this for many years and population there may be easy to cheat on this. We have a knowledge of our rights in this matter for years... Even we are facing the attempt to destroy it all by applying your actual system. They are trying to privatize part without our knowledge, I mean, the states are trying to contract parts of it with private corporations, (maybe that´s the way they are doing it in the USA) they are trying to wash our brains and make us prefer private clinics, which is somthing we have to fight against.

You can watch Sicko if you haven´t. If I cut my hand, I don´t have to choose what finger I want to preserve depending on the money I have... I can preserve them all for free... If I have a premature son, I don´t have to pay for the incubator daily... For us is inconceivable what we see in your country in movies or TV series. I have the feeling that the USA has expended such a lot of time believing in the aggressive capitalism as a sign of freedom that there people is really lost about what it really envolves. Everything related with social something has been demonized. And again, I don´t trust they are going to apply a honest public health system there. Same way European Union or World Union sounds good, but depending on HOW.

Universal public health system benefits are inquestionable, but it depends on how they build it, as everything. Ours, is the result of centuries of fightings for our rights. But I think you had a system once, so all of you should STUDY it and regain it in the best way.

I don´t  see the meaning on driving my life to achieve what they have sold to me anymore. But this fighting against has all the meaning of the world to me.

About organizations... if it´s organization, it does not work, as it seems. Where there´s an organization, someone comes to infiltrate. I think we must keep on doing what we´re doing, speaking about it, and the internet is our best friend and our worst enemy.
Where do we start? we have already started.
Maybe sometimes it seems that we´re loosing our time, but I think this is the way.
I think we have already stopped many issues, such as the forced vaccination last year.

Thank you for your response! I guess the only reason I included "especially in our country" (meaning America), is that it just seems like there are more lies here. I have never been anywhere else though, so I really don't know. It's just that by being "advanced" in media and technology we are made to believe we are "ahead" of other countries. To me, that translates to we are more STUPID than other countries, if anything. It's going on everywhere though, I realize that.

I like what you said about the internet being our best friend and worst enemy, that sure is the truth. What I've learned the most is how important it is to look into every single piece of information further than just what is on the surface.

jacilovesmichael I think every country is STUPID in his own way. I can see from outside there how your country is stupid, but I also saddly see from here how mine is... they said it once, they were going to use different ways and regimens to cheat people in each country... so for one capitalism may be valid, while others have a dictatorial communism (what about if we claim for a honest socialism). In Spain they have half of the work done just not translating and dubbing certain things. But if you can speak languages you have half of the work done...

But I must recognize that your stupidity (and sometimes arrogance) affects to the rest of the world as well as ours affects South America and Africa.

Okay, socialism has been much maligne by the media, and has also contributed the corruption of man.

Particularly I think the subject of consciousness is linked to two aspects intrinsic to every human being, one is the location of our life, which has to do with what is called the destination, ie, that part of our life that did not depend of our decisions, for example, where we are born, our parents, our siblings, family, environment, therefore the values we inculcate or to educate us in the "society".

Socialist consciousness is determined by social values, and have to do, or are manifested in the practice, now, well, socialist consciousness can not be decreed, that is, I can not decree that starting tomorrow and I am conscious socialist therefore I am a socialist, socialist consciousness is a construction, or rather the destruction of false consciousness and awareness building.
The "capitalistic consciousness' does not exist, is false, is rather unconsciousness, this is the lineup for the false, is vain, is unreal, is formed by a world of ideas related to a" prosperity "determined by material possession, the capitalist consciousness brother does not care, nor friendship, nor love, nor poverty, nor the earth, nor air, nor the universe, the capitalist consciousness unconsciousness is total, no other logic that supports the maximization of gain "and intensification of alter ego.


The "socialist consciousness" is consciousness, is to understand that this is one and take care of this planet and beyond our profits, because all is well, not a single country or social sector, is to accept and recognize the rest of the human species and all species, we are in an ecosystem where we all need, not to sell or buy goods, but to live, to maintain and reproduce life, to be conscious is to love, to want, is to retain , is sharing, is to prosper together, is to believe in peace.
Now, as to be aware?, Brother and sister thinking, thought, looking within ourselves, asking that we do for this country and this planet, fed our minds with good books, good topics, feeding our minds with good thoughts, good music, good scenery, watching the sky, replacing the cement of the mall by the breeze of the seats, the window full of items that we do not need the landscape of trees and birds, the air conditioning noise by music of the breeze, the pleasant conversation of his friend, brother, the companion of the mother or the child before the cold of the television monologue, is socially conscious to be aware of ourselves, is to think, reflect and act, is be consistent, is to think, feel and act as one, and not carried away by the unconsciousness of capitalism, we instill the trash television and above all the ideological structure of capitalist system.
